A family member recommended we try Cruel Donuts for their donuts and their ice cream and we are so glad we did! As promised, Ray the ice cream maker let us try as many flavors of his amazing ice cream as we'd like and we liked every single one, it was hard to decide which one to order! We ended up ordering double scoops of the vietnamese coffee 5/5 and the chinese almond cookie and double scoops of the vanilla lilikoi swirl 5*/5 and chinese almond cookie (you see a theme here? 5*/5) We thought they were all outstanding! We also tried other flavors all 5/5: - Japanese yuzu sorbet - super tart and delicious, perhaps better as a palate cleanser given the intensity - Chocolate life - layers of different types of chocolate - very good but I personally prefer an intense dark chocolate only - Simply ube - very good - Ube macapuno - interesting coconut flavor mixed into the ube - Passionfruit sorbet - also tart but not as tart at the yuzu sorbet - Calamansi sorbet - I confess by this point i was having difficulty discerning between all these great flavors! Then onto the donuts! With Lean's suggestions and generosity we left with eight donuts (2 ube cake donuts): - ube cake donut 5*/5 - having just returned from Hawai'i where there are a lot of ube items, this was truly outstanding. My brother-in-law who doesn't like cake donuts really liked this one - it was lighter/not as dense as other ones, and the flavor was terrific - raspberry mochi donut - 5/5 - passionfruit mochi donut - 5/5 - yuzu mochi donut - 5*/5 - my sister who does not like mochi donuts really liked this donut, we decided the yuzu frosting was the absolute best - passionfruit frosted donut - 4/5, this was the only one that we thought was not our favorite among the four of us who tried all these donuts - although it could also be because we were eating these donuts at 9:30pm at night so not the freshest due to our timing - plain crueller - 5*/5, their signature donut, somewhat custard-like in texture and my sister's favorite donut - chocolate frosted crueller - 5/5, what could be bad about the crueller covered with chocolate frosting? We'd go back for the yuzu mochi donuts and ube cake donuts alone. Everything was so so good!

Amazing donuts, especially the mochi donuts on the weekends. My favorite is the passion fruit mochi donut. Over the past year, I have probably tried all the flavors. They recently added ice cream to the menu which is probably the best ice cream on the peninsula. All made in house by Ray (hope he's there when you go - wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly). I liked every flavor I tried: Chinese almond, vanilla and passion fruit, matcha strawberry. Will have to come back to try some more. Their quality is terrific and the service matches it. Definitely worth a visit!

Who knew a doughnut shop could have such incredible ice cream? Everything is made in-house, and you can really taste the quality. The tropical flavors like jackfruit, calamansi lemon, ube, and coconut pandan are bursting with freshness, and they also have plenty of unique options to explore. Add in warm, friendly service, and you've got a place worth coming back to again and again both for donuts and ice cream for sure!

These may have been the best donuts I have ever had. An elevated experience, quality ingredients, perfectly balanced (if one can say these things about donuts), yet familiar. Very good coffee. And kind, sweet staff. Thank you

I love this donut shop ! My husband and I continue to go almost every other weekend to grab a coffee and a donut. I love the variety of flavors and their breakfast sandwiches are the best. I recently placed an order for St. Patrick's day donuts for my teachers and they loved it.

Excellent customer service! Apple fritter was perfect. Never seen a morning bun "croissant" before, and it did not disappoint. It was so soft and light, perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar. Latte had a great flavor. Would love to go back. They were so nice here.

Cute neighborhood donut shop with a wide variety of traditional, contemporary and mochi donuts. Loved that they had Asian flavors and got both a passion fruit glazed and guava jelly. All donuts except for jelly filled ($4.00) were $3.50 each. Donuts were light and just the right amount of sweetness. Will definitely be back!

We tried this place when it first opened but wasn't too impressed. Fast forward to now where we had their raised donuts at my son's friend's birthday party, and it was so good that I decided to give it another shot! Well, after a few visits I can confidently say we like this place for their raised donuts! The chocolate frosted with sprinkles are the best ones. The guava filled one would come in second place. Their logo and packaging is very cute too, and the service has been friendly every time we visited. I would skip the breakfast sandwiches as the egg part tasted kinda funky and the consistency is like that of a frozen TV dinner. But I would totally come back for their just their donuts!
